Gingerbread men & happy new year!

Paige, Joshua, Levi, and Elias got gingerbread men decorating kits and did them today! :) Here they are working hard on making them all look their best!

We had snow this morning!

And then this afternoon it all melted!

Trip up to Nebraska!

We had a quick trip to Nebraska November 23-25! A wedding, thanksgiving with Grandparents, seeing a baby, visiting with friends and family, and more filled up the weekend alright!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Lord, so often times, as any other day 

When we sit down to our meal and pray

We hurry along and make fast the blessing 

Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing 

We're slaves to the olfactory overload 

We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold 

But Lord, I'd like to take a few minutes more 

To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for 

For my family, my health, a nice soft bed 

My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head 

I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those 

Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know 

Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure 

Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure 

That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place 

And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace 

So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You've provided 

And bless each and every person invited

Bike rides & horse rides

Mom, Dylan (carefully, mind you), and Rylan went for a bike ride today...

...and Rylan really enjoyed it, because he didn't have to do much work, just sit back and enjoy the ride! :)

I rode this old sweetheart for the first time since we got him today. Red reminds me so much of my sweet old horse Sam, pictured at the very top of this blog.

Mom and I also rode her horse, Mia, and I gave the little ones rides on Red, but we didn't get any actual riding pictures. But, don't worry, there definitely will be in the near future! :)

So, it's been a fun day of bike and horse rides! :)
