Sewing
Been busy with a few different sewing projects here recently. Thought I'd share a little on what I've made!
First, a couple cute dresses and a jumper for Paige!First time I've done sleeves like this, thought they turned out well!
This one is my favorite, very pretty!
Next ... a little idea I had to possibly help with the little children getting their chores done...
You see, there are a row of little pockets above and a row of pockets beneath, they take their chore card out of the top pockets and put them into their bottom pocket when they've completed that chore and then we can see at a glance that they've done all their chores. Well, unless if you're like Dylan and you think, hey that's easy! Just put all the chore cards in your bottom pocket! (He doesn't really have any pockets and was just joking though of course, Lol!)

Add more white flour, kneading it in until the dough is stiff like bread dough, and the chips just begin to fall out as you knead.
Shape into golf-ball size balls, flatten slightly between palms, and lay the thick disks on a cookie sheet to bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven before they begin to brown. Cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes before removing. Cool completely on flat surface before storing them in an airtight container (zip-lock type bags by the dozen or 2 dozen)
Let me know if you try them and what you thought! What is your favorite cookie recipe???

Congratulations Paige...
...for winning our "2012 book reading contest"!!!
The contest participants were: Mom, Dylan, Paige, and I. The winner would be the person who read the most chapter books in 2012. Paige read a grand total of 72 books and therefore beat us all! :)
Way to go Paige!!!
Her prize is this "Lilla Rose flexi clip" called the tree of life. Paige picked it because of her favorite verse, which is: "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." -Proverbs 11:30
