Update on Dylan

First off, thank you so much to all who prayed for Dylan! It meant a lot to Dylan to hear that a lot of people are thinking about and praying for him.

He is doing really well! Here is an update on things:

He has been to Saint Louis 3 times now, for 2 surgeries, and then to have part of his cast removed. For his second surgery they did a tendon transfer, nerve repair, and a skin graph. He will be going back up to Saint Louis to have the rest of his cast taken off in a week, and then one month after that he should be able to move his wrist. However he will not be able to properly function his fingers for a year! The nerve needs that long to heal and work right. But who cares if it takes a year, he (Lord willing) will be able to use his arm/hand/fingers normally again! Praise the Lord!

And now, a few pictures when he was at the hospital:

After surgery-

His cast-

Thumbs up!

The fun part about having a cast!

And his new cast, about a third of the size of the old one-

And having just one arm to use doesn't stop him from working with his mowers, he just made this neat shelter thing for his mower yesterday, with one arm!

  1. Go Dylan! Praise the Lord! Thanks for posting this Ashley, I'll make sure the boys see it, they've been wondering how Dylan's been doing.

It sounds like things are going well down there, but we sure miss you all!

    Love, Mrs. W
